Speciale innovative engine motor with reduction in friction and vibration
Please take note this innovative engine was writhen in 2006 Displacement:500cc (30.51 cubic inches) Overall dimensions:168.4 mm diameter x 368.3 mm length (6.63 in. diameter x 14.5 in. length) Developed and produced in 2006 by Michel Arseneau Here is the engine that motivated me to write this document and presentation. This engine is not yet built, but the drawings show the original concept. In this engine, I have integrated some very important elements that allow a considerable reduction in lateral forces (side load between piston and cylinders), a reduction in vibration as well as a reduction in friction. These elements of innovation are based on sound mechanical work but with a new drive train design, which make this engine quite interesting and especially for reduction in friction / vibration . Estimated manufacturing costs, assembly costs as well as maintenance costs would be significantly lower than a conventional engine. Its compact size and an anticipated higher energetic efficiency make this engine suitable for many applications and is worth while exploring further. Application for the MI 8 engine Although all the innovative engines I have built to date are on the small side, I must stress the fact that the MI8 engine can be developed with a wide range of displacements. Its innovative concept makes this engine much more efficient when compared with a conventional design due to the near total lack of side-load and vibration. In addition to the applications where these qualities will be taken advantage of such as aviation (drones) and in particular hybrid powertrains (as applied to the automobile field), MI8 could easily be used in most of today’s engine needs. The latter ranging from motorized hand tools, stationnary motorized devices, varied vehicles, utility engines, model engines etc.. A modular multi-cylinder powerplant with interchangeable components on which individual cylinders can be deactivated while the rest keeps running is but one of the many configurations possible. Even in its simplest form, MI8 encompases many patentable aspects boding well for future commercial endeavours. Its inerant simplicity make it easily and economically adaptable to use with varied fuel (diesel, ethanol etc…) Moreover, every aspects of its simple design and a reduction in vibration as well as a reduction in friction are geared toward simplicity and cost-effectiveness giving to MI8 a great development potential even in a tight budget context. Unfortunately I cannot disclose any developements or internal drawings of this engine. I can however discuss elements of this concept during a private session as long as certain confidentiality restrictions are agreed upon. |
